Suffering from a dull complexion or need some sprucing up before a big event? Besides our 5 secrets to a glowing skin and useful makeup tips for a glowing face, IDS Hydro Therapeutics
Treatment is your go-to solution. Comprising of a HydraFacial, ultrasonic cleansing,
Iontophoresis and IDS Clinic’s proprietary masks, this treatment is said to give you visibly fairer skin immediately.
My therapist started by first double cleansing my face, followed by a scrub to remove dead skin cells. After prepping my skin, she begins the HydraFacial. I am usually a proponent of the no-pain-no-gain school of facials; in other words, treatments that are heavy on extractions and that leave my skin inflamed for at least a few hours after.
HydraFacial prides itself on being just as effective – without the aggression. Instead of performing manual extractions, it uses something called a vortex-extraction nozzle that acts as a vacuum. There is a slight suction when the nozzle is on my skin and the sucking sound it makes is oddly satisfying. While it is sucking out all the debris, the vortex-fusion tool cleverly infuses an antioxidant-and-collagen-rich serum into the skin to promote elasticity and hydration. As I have stubborn blackheads on my nose, my therapist performs a quick, pain-free manual extraction. Hello, squeaky clean skin!
To further brighten my skin, my therapist then runs another machine deploying ultrasound Iontophoresis – a technology that uses gentle electric currents to allow substances to penetrate skin better, to massage and tone my face using a Vitamin C serum from IDS Clinic. As a last step, the clinic’s proprietary hydrating mask is applied to soothe to moisturise my pampered mien.
When I awoke, I was greeted with a radiant and clearer complexion. The pores on my nose looked more refined and my skin also felt more taut. Great for a perk-me-up just before a big event or hot date!
